School-to-work transition

Hello, little buddy! Today let's talk about something called the school-to-work transition.

Do you remember when your parents or teachers told you that one day you'll have a job? Well, that's what we're talking about! When students become adults, they have to go out in the world and get a job to earn money and support themselves.

Now, when we change from being a student in school to being an adult in the workforce, we call that transition the school-to-work transition. This is when we learn the skills that can be used in getting a job.

To help students do this, schools like to provide some classes that teach about jobs and how to apply for them. This way, students can learn how to write resumes, fill out job applications and how to behave properly in job interviews.

Some schools also give students a chance to do internships or apprenticeships, which let them work in a real workplace as part of their learning. This can give them a taste of what the job they're interested in is like.

So, in a nutshell -- school-to-work transition means leaving school and learning how to get a job so that you can support yourself as an adult. It might be scary, but it's also exciting, and there are lots of people to help you along the way!
