Schottky anomaly is a strange behavior of particles that happen when they get very close to each other. Think of it like two kids who want to play together but they can't get too close, or else the game won't be fun! It's like that with particles - when they get really close, they stop acting normally and start to behave strangely. This is called a Schottky anomaly.
