Scientific collection

When we go outside and look at all the different plants and animals, they are all very interesting to us! Sometimes scientists want to study these plants and animals so they can learn more about them and how they live. To do this, they need to carefully collect some of these plants and animals to bring back to their labs to study.

But, it's important to remember that we need to take care of the plants and animals in the environment too. So, scientists only collect a few of the plants and animals that they need to study, and they make sure to follow rules that help protect the rest of the plants and animals in the environment.

When the scientists collect the plants and animals, they keep them safe and make sure they are healthy. They might take pictures of them, look at them under a microscope, or even do special tests to learn more about them. Then, after they have learned what they need to know, they put the plants and animals back where they found them so they can keep growing and living in their natural home.

So, scientific collection is when scientists collect a few of the plants and animals from the environment to study them carefully, but they make sure to take care of them and follow rules to protect the rest of the plants and animals in the environment.
