Scratchcard

Okay kiddo, so a scratchcard is a small card that has a secret message hidden underneath a silver or gold covering. The covering is called a scratch-off layer. To find out what's underneath, you have to use a coin or your fingernail and scratch the layer off.

When you scratch the covering off, you might see some pictures or numbers. If you match the pictures or numbers in a certain way, you can win a prize! You might win some money, a gift card, or even a bigger prize like a car.

But, not every card is a winner. Sometimes, you might scratch off the layer and see that you didn't match the pictures or numbers the right way. Don't worry though, you can always try again with a new card.

So, in summary, a scratchcard is a small card with a secret message hidden under a scratch-off layer that you can win prizes from by matching pictures or numbers in a certain way.
