Scrub baseball is a game that kids often play when they don't have a real baseball field or equipment. To play scrub baseball, all you need is a big field or open space, a ball (like a tennis ball or rubber ball), and some friends to play with.
The game starts by choosing two captains who take turns picking players to form two teams. Once the teams are set, one team goes out to the field to play defense, while the other team is up to bat.
When the batter hits the ball, they run around the bases (which are usually marked with something like a tree or a rock), trying to make it back to home plate before the other team can catch the ball and tag them out.
If the batter makes it all the way around the bases without being tagged out, they score a point for their team. If they get tagged out before reaching a base or if someone catches their hit, they're out.
The teams switch roles when the defense team gets three outs, and they have a turn at batting. The game goes on until a certain number of innings are completed, or until one team reaches a certain number of points.
Scrub baseball is a fun way to play ball with friends and is a good exercise too.
