ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Seam Zone

You know how sometimes when you're wearing clothes, you can see where they were sewn together? That's called a seam. But sometimes, when you have two pieces of fabric that you want to put together, you don't want people to see where they were sewn. That's where the seam zone comes in.

The seam zone is a special area where two pieces of fabric are put together, but the seam is hidden so you can't see it on the outside of the clothes. It's sort of like a secret hiding place for the seam.

To make a seam zone, the two pieces of fabric are sandwiched together and sewn in a way that keeps the seam hidden. This can be done in a few different ways depending on what kind of clothing you're making, but the goal is always the same - to make the seam invisible on the outside.

Now, just because you can't see the seam doesn't mean it's not there. It's still holding the two pieces of fabric together, making sure your shirt or pants or dress doesn't fall apart. But thanks to the seam zone, you don't have to worry about anyone seeing it and ruining the look of your clothes.
