Seasonal affective disorder

Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that affects some people mainly during the winter months when the days become shorter (from November to March). It makes people feel tired, sad, and grumpy. To help with these feelings, people with SAD often do things like get outside in the sunshine more, use special lamps that highlight the body's internal clock and help reset it, and talk with a doctor about taking medicines that might help.
