Sebitti

Well, kiddo, sebitti is a word that comes from an ancient language called Akkadian. It was used to talk about a group of gods who were believed to have power over things like weather, war, and sickness. They were kind of like superheroes, but people believed they actually existed and could help or harm them in real life.

The sebitti were also sometimes called "the seven" because there were seven main gods in the group. Each one had a specific role or power, kind of like how different Avengers have different strengths and abilities. Some of the sebitti were known for being particularly fierce or scary, while others were seen as more helpful and positive.

People in ancient Mesopotamia (which is where Akkadian was spoken) would often pray to the sebitti for protection or help with different problems they were facing. Nowadays, we don't really believe in these gods anymore, but studying them can teach us a lot about how people used to think and what was important to them.
