Second Intermediate Period of Egypt

Long, long ago, there was a place called Egypt where people lived. It was divided into different times called periods. The second intermediate period of Egypt was a time when things were not so good for the people living there.

During this time, there were many kings who ruled for short amounts of time. Some of the kings even fought with each other to be the ruler. It was not a very peaceful time and there were lots of wars.

Because of all this fighting, the people who lived there had a hard time. They did not have enough food, water or homes. They had to move to different places to try and find things they needed.

Another thing that happened during this time was that some people from outside Egypt came in and took over. They wanted to be the ones in charge and make all the rules. This made things even harder for the people who lived there.

Despite all the hard times the people of Egypt faced during the second intermediate period, they were strong and persevered. In the end, things improved and they went on to create a great civilization that many still admire and learn about today.
