The Second Neighborhood Problem is when people choose to surround themselves with the same kinds of people rather than those who are different. For example, if you are a friendly person, maybe you like to hang out with other friendly people; or if you love music, maybe you like to have friends who also love music. Sometimes, it is good to be with people that are like you, but being around a group of people who are all the same can make it hard to understand different perspectives and learn new things.
