Sediment transport

Sediment transport is when sand, soil, pebbles, and other pieces of rock move from one place to another. It usually happens because of things like wind and water. When the wind blows, it can carry smaller pieces of sand around. Rain can also help transport pieces of sand and rock. The rain can run off into streams and rivers, carrying sand and rock with it as it goes. All of this movement of rock and sand is called sediment transport.
