ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Selective yellow

So have you ever seen a really cool car or motorcycle with yellow headlights? That's called selective yellow! It's a special kind of yellow light that helps drivers see better in certain conditions, like when it's foggy or rainy outside.

You see, regular headlights can reflect off of fog and raindrops and make it even harder to see. But selective yellow lights are designed to cut through that and help you see better! That's because they only let the yellow light through, which is less likely to reflect off of things and cause glare.

It's sort of like wearing sunglasses when it's really bright out - they help you see better because they block out some of the light that can hurt your eyes. Selective yellow lights do the same thing, but for your car or motorcycle.

So there you have it, kiddo! Selective yellow is just a special kind of yellow light that helps drivers see better in certain conditions. Pretty cool, huh?
