ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Self remembering

Self-remembering is kind of like pausing and thinking about yourself from a different perspective. It's like watching yourself from outside of yourself, almost like you're a character in a movie.

When you're self-remembering, you might notice things about yourself that you might not otherwise notice. For example, you might notice that you're feeling a certain way or that you're reacting to something in a certain way. Sometimes, we get so caught up in our thoughts and feelings that we don't even realize what we're doing or how we're acting.

Self-remembering gives you a chance to step back and really examine yourself. You might take note of how you're feeling physically or how you're breathing. You might even notice things about your surroundings that you hadn't before.

It's kind of like hitting a reset button on your brain so that you can regain your focus and pay attention to what's going on around you. By doing this, you can become more aware of yourself and your surroundings and make better choices about how you react to things.

Overall, self-remembering is a really helpful tool for slowing down and becoming more conscious of yourself and your environment. It takes practice, but once you get the hang of it, it can really improve your quality of life.
