Self-employment for people with disabilities (UK)

Self-employment means that you work for yourself, without needing to have a boss or work for a company. People with disabilities can also work for themselves and start their own businesses.

In the UK, there are programs and supports for people with disabilities who want to start their own businesses. These programs can help with things like coming up with a business idea, getting funding (money) to start the business, and learning how to run a business.

Some people with disabilities may find it easier to work for themselves instead of working for a company because they may have more control over their work environment and schedule. For example, if you have a disability that makes it hard to sit for long periods of time, you might be able to work from home or set your own hours if you work for yourself.

One thing to keep in mind is that starting your own business can be challenging and may require a lot of hard work. But with the right support and resources, it can be a great option for people with disabilities who want to be their own boss.
