Self-focusing transducers

Self-focusing transducers are special tools that use sound waves to create images of the inside of our bodies. Let's imagine that you have a super cool toy called a flashlight. When you point it in a dark room, it gives off light to help you see things that you wouldn't normally be able to see. Sound waves work in a similar way, except they don't create light - they create sound!

When we talk or shout, sound waves travel through the air and eventually reach our ears so that we can hear them.
