ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Selfism

Selfism is a way of thinking where people focus mainly on themselves, their own feelings, and desires. It's like saying "me first" all the time. It's normal to take care of yourself, but being too self-centered can make it difficult to care about others.

It's great to love and respect yourself, but selfism sometimes leads to thinking that you are always right and other people are wrong. This can cause problems in relationships because you're not willing to listen to other people's opinions.

Selfism makes people focus too much on what they want and not what others need, which can make it tough for everyone to work together. Instead of thinking only about yourself, it's important to think about others too. Remember, you are part of a bigger community and you should always treat others the way you want to be treated.
