Sentō

Okay kiddo, have you ever gone to a giant bathtub with lots of different people in it? That's kind of like a sentō, but it's a special place in Japan where people go to take baths and relax.

You see, in Japan, not everyone has a big bathtub in their home. So, people go to a sentō to clean themselves up and relax their bodies after a long day. Inside a sentō, there are different types of hot baths with varying temperatures that will make our muscles feel good. They also have bubbling water that massages the body, and sometimes even cold baths that can be refreshing on hot days!

Usually, people go to a sentō with friends or family members, but sometimes, people go alone to relax and unwind. Before getting into the baths, everyone must take a shower and clean their body thoroughly so that the water can be clean in the baths.

Some sentos even offer extra services like massages or facials.

Overall, a sento is a great place to go when you want to soak yourself in warm water after a long day, you get clean and relax with your friends, family or alone.
