ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Sentence completion tests

Imagine you're in a race and there's a missing piece in the track. Your job is to fill in that missing piece so you can finish the race. That's what a sentence completion test is like. It's a test where you're given a sentence that's missing a word or two. Your job is to fill in the blank with the word that makes the most sense.

It's like a puzzle where you have to figure out what's missing and what would fit best in the blank. These tests are used to see how well you understand language and grammar, and how quickly you can come up with the right word to complete the sentence.

Sometimes the sentences are easy and sometimes they're harder, but that's okay! Just like how you practice and get better at a race, you can practice and get better at sentence completion tests too. The more you read and learn new words, the easier it will be to fill in the blank and finish the sentence.
