The Seoul Declaration on Safety and Health at Work is a document containing a set of principles that countries can use to help make sure that their workplaces are safe and healthy for people. This document was created by the World Health Organization (WHO) and International Labour Organization (ILO), two organizations that help make sure that people all over the world have safe and healthy work environments. The Seoul Declaration includes nine main points, which say that: everyone has the right to safe and healthy work; governments should work together to ensure safe and healthy work; employers and workers should be involved in creating and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace; everyone should have access to the right training, knowledge, and skills to make sure their work environment is safe and healthy; regular and effective risk assessment and workplace inspections should be carried out to identify problems and how to fix them; workers should be able to report and raise issues about safety and health without fear of any form of punishment or discrimination; employers should provide resources and support to help create a safe and healthy work environment; and workers should be provided with medical and social protection from work-related injuries and illnesses. The Seoul Declaration is an important step in helping to create and maintain a safe and healthy workplace for people all over the world.
