Seven Countries Study

The Seven Countries Study was a very big research project that studied the eating habits and health of people in seven different countries around the world. The countries were the United States, Japan, Greece, Finland, Italy, Yugoslavia, and the Netherlands. Scientists wanted to find out how people's diets and lifestyle affected their health and chances of getting heart diseases.

To do this, scientists asked people in each country about what they eat, how much they exercise, and how their health was. The scientists also looked at the kinds of foods people were eating in each country and how much of it they were eating. They also looked at how much fat, protein, and carbohydrates were in their diets.

After the study was finished, the scientists found that people in some countries had a lot more heart diseases than others. They also found that people who ate a lot of fatty foods were more likely to get heart diseases. The scientists concluded that people who ate less fatty foods and exercised more were less likely to get heart diseases.

Overall, the Seven Countries Study was a big research project that helped scientists understand more about how what we eat and how much we exercise affects our health. It showed us that eating a healthy diet and staying active is important if we want to stay healthy and avoid heart diseases.
