Sex hormone therapy

Hello there! Sex hormone therapy is when doctors give someone different hormones to help them feel better.

In our bodies, we have lots of different hormones that help control things like how we grow, how our bodies work, and even how we feel. Some people don't feel quite themselves because their hormones aren't balanced in the right way.

If someone is having trouble with their sex hormones, they might take medicine to help balance things out. Sex hormones are the hormones in our bodies that help us develop and maintain our sex characteristics. For example, girls have estrogen that helps them grow breasts and start periods, and boys have testosterone that helps them grow facial hair and have deep voices.

Sometimes people might need help with their sex hormones if their body is not making enough of them or if their body is making too much of them. Doctors can give them medicine to help balance things out.

It's important to remember that hormone therapy is something that should only be done under the advice of a doctor, and it can have side effects. But for some people, it can help them feel more like themselves!
