ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Sexual liberation

Okay kiddo, have you ever noticed that grown-ups talk about sex a lot but they used to not talk about it as much a long time ago? That's because there was a time called the "sexual revolution" where people started to become more open about talking about sex and having sex.

Before this time, people thought talking about sex was bad or shameful, and they thought only married people should have sex. But then some people started saying that everyone should be able to make their own choices about sex and that it's okay to talk about it.

This was important because it helped people feel more free and less ashamed about their bodies and their feelings. It also led to changes in laws and policies that let people have more control over their bodies and their relationships.

So basically, sexual liberation means that everyone should be able to choose what they do with their bodies and who they have relationships with, and they shouldn't be ashamed or judged for it.
