Shaheen Bagh Protests

Okay kiddo, so there's a place in India called Shaheen Bagh and some people who live there have been protesting for a very long time. They're upset about a new law that the government made that they think is unfair.

The law is called the Citizenship Amendment Act, or CAA for short. It says that certain people who come from other countries can become citizens of India more easily, but it doesn't include everyone.

The people in Shaheen Bagh think that this law is unfair because it discriminates against Muslims, who make up a big part of their community. They're also worried that it could make it harder for people to become citizens of India in the future, even if they were born there or have lived there for a long time.

So these people have been protesting peacefully in Shaheen Bagh for months now. They sit together in a big group and block a road so that people have to go around them. They sing songs, make speeches and share food with each other.

Some people have said that they're being a nuisance and blocking traffic, but others think that they're making an important point and standing up for what they believe in. Whatever people think, one thing is for sure: the people in Shaheen Bagh are showing us all how important it is to stand up for what you believe in, even if it's hard or scary.
