Shamrocks & Shenanigans

Shamrocks and shenanigans usually happen together on St. Patrick's Day, which is an Irish holiday that is celebrated every year on March 17th. Shamrocks are green, clover-shaped leaves that are said to bring good luck. People decorate their homes with lots of shamrocks on St. Patrick's Day. Shenanigans are silly tricks and pranks, like playing practical jokes, or dressing up in funny costumes. So, on St. Patrick's Day, people wear lots of green, and decorate with shamrocks, but also do lots of fun and silly tricks, which is all a part of the shenanigans!
