ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Shidu (bereavement)

Shidu is when someone loses someone they love and care about. It can be very sad and make people feel very upset. Sometimes people cry a lot and feel like they don't want to do anything else.

When someone passes away, it means they have died and they won't come back. This can be very hard for people to understand because they might be used to spending time with that person and now they can't anymore.

When someone is experiencing shidu, it is important to be kind and help them with things they need. This might include making them food, helping with chores, or just listening to them when they want to talk about their loved one.

It is important to remember that shidu is natural and it is okay to feel sad. It is also okay to reach out for help from others if you need it. There are people who specialize in helping people who are grieving and they can be a great resource.
