ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Shift key

Okay kiddo, you know about the letters on your keyboard, right? Well, there's a special key on your keyboard called the "shift" key.

When you press the shift key, it helps you type different things like capital letters (big letters) and symbols like !@#$%^&*.

Here's how it works: if you want to type a capital "A" instead of a regular "a", you just press and hold the shift key while you press the "A" key.

The shift key also helps you type symbols like ! and @ that you might not be able to find anywhere else on your keyboard. Just press and hold the shift key and then press the number key that has the symbol you want.

So basically, the shift key is like a special helper key that helps you type different things on your keyboard. Pretty cool, huh?
