Shingle beach

Have you ever played in a sandbox at the playground? A shingle beach is sort of like a giant sandbox that is made up of tiny rocks instead of sand.

When the waves crash against the shore, they bring lots of little rocks with them. These rocks get piled up on top of each other and make a long and narrow strip of land next to the ocean. This strip of land is called a shingle beach.

Unlike regular sandy beaches, shingle beaches can be a bit more difficult to walk on because the rocks can move around and be sharp or jagged.

But the good news is that shingle beaches can be really fun and interesting to explore! You can find all sorts of neat things there, like colorful rocks, cool shells, and even some creatures that live in the water. Just be careful not to slip on the rocks, and enjoy your shingle beach adventure!
