Short range air defense

Okay, so you know that some countries have really big planes that can fly up high in the sky, right? And sometimes these countries want to protect their own planes or buildings from other countries' planes that might try to attack them. Short range air defense is basically a way for a country to protect themselves from those bad planes that might try to attack their things.

Short range air defense usually involves using weapons to shoot at the bad planes. These weapons are usually small and fast so they can protect things that are close by. Sometimes they're even mounted on trucks and moved around to different places depending on where they need to be protecting.

People who work with short range air defense have to be really good at using these weapons, because the bad planes can be really fast and hard to hit. They practice a lot so they can be ready if they need to protect their country.
