Siddi are a group of people who live in India and have a very interesting history. A long, long time ago, some people from Africa came to India and made it their home. These people were originally from places like Ethiopia, Sudan, Somalia and other African countries. Over time, they blended their African culture with Indian culture and became known as Siddis.
The Siddi people look different from many other people in India because of their African heritage. They have dark skin, curly hair, and sometimes even lighter-colored eyes. Even though they come from a different place, they still speak some of the same languages as other people in India, like Hindi and Gujarati.
Siddis have their own traditional music and dance that is very unique and special. They are also known for their skills in farming and fishing. Many Siddis live in rural areas and work on farms, growing things like rice, wheat, and vegetables. They also live near the coast, where they fish in the ocean for food.
Even though it is hard to imagine, some people still treat the Siddi people differently because of their African heritage. Unfortunately, some people can be mean and treat them badly. But the Siddi people are strong and proud of their history and culture, and they work hard to keep their traditions alive.
