Sign (medicine)

Sign in medicine means a symptom or a clue. It is something that doctors use to figure out what might be wrong with you so they can give you the best treatment. For example, if you are feeling really tired and have a sore throat, the doctor might look in your throat and listen to your heart, and maybe run some tests. Those should all be signs that tell the doctor what might be wrong with you.
