Silk industry in Azerbaijan

The silk industry in Azerbaijan is when people make things out of silk. Silk is a very special type of fabric that is made from the cocoon of a silkworm. Silkworms are little caterpillars that live in hot countries like Azerbaijan and eat special leaves. When the caterpillars are full grown they make a cocoon out of their own special silk thread. People in Azerbaijan collect the cocoons and boil them until the thread is exposed. Then, they turn the thread into fabric by weaving it together. This fabric is used to make different things like scarves, ties, and clothing.
