ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Simple module

Okay kiddo, let's talk about simple modules. A module is like a toolbox that has different parts inside of it. Some of the parts are big and some are small. When we say a module is simple, it means that there aren't any smaller parts inside of it that we can take out.

Think of it like a puzzle piece. If we have a big puzzle piece that doesn't have any smaller pieces inside of it, we can call it a simple puzzle piece.

In math, we use the idea of simple modules to help us understand bigger ideas. We can say that a certain module is simple and then use that information to figure out other things. It's kind of like using a simple puzzle piece to help us figure out how to put a bigger puzzle together.

Does that make sense to you, kiddo?
