ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Simulator sickness

Simulator sickness is when you feel sick while playing with a virtual reality (VR) headset or any other kind of simulator.

Think of it like when you're in a car and you start to feel a little queasy because you're moving and your body can't keep up.

When you're using a VR headset, your brain takes in information from your eyes and ears that makes you feel like you're moving, even though you're actually standing still. Sometimes, your brain might get confused and think that it's not matching up with your body's movements, which can make you feel sick.

It's kind of like if you were spinning around really fast, your brain would feel like it's still spinning even when you stop. This can cause you to feel dizzy or nauseous.

But don't worry, there are ways to prevent simulator sickness, like taking breaks or changing the settings on the VR headset to make it less intense.
