Sinusoidal model

A sinusoidal model is a type of model used to describe different kinds of waves, including waves in the ocean, sound waves, and light waves. Basically, it is like a kind of map that shows how the waves look and move. The waves are usually shaped like a high point (hump) and a low point (dip) that move in a kind of pattern. So this model is kind of like a drawing or graph of the pattern of the wave.
