ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Slatko

Slatko is a delicious sweet treat made from fruits that are cooked with sugar until they become thick and jam-like. It's kind of like jelly or jam, but a bit chunkier and less spreadable.

To make slatko, you start by chopping up your fruit. It can be anything from strawberries and cherries to peaches and apples. You then add some sugar and water to the fruit and heat it up on the stove.

As it cooks, the sugar and water mix with the natural juices and fruit pulp to make a thick, gooey mixture. This is your slatko!

Once your slatko is thick enough (after about 30-40 minutes), you pour it into jars and let it cool.

You can eat slatko as a sweet treat all on its own, or spread it on toast or crackers. It's a delicious and easy way to enjoy fresh fruits, and a great way to satisfy your sweet tooth!
