Slavery in ancient Egypt

Slavery was a very common thing in Ancient Egypt. This means that some people were forced to work for other people, without getting paid and without any say in what kinds of jobs they had to do. It was usually very bad for the people who were slaves and they had to do a lot of hard work. Sometimes it even meant that they had to do dangerous jobs. They weren't even allowed to keep the things they made or the food they grew, everything they did belonged to their masters. Slavery was a way for powerful people to get people to do their work for them, instead of having to do it themselves.
