ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Slewing

Slewing is when you move something really big and heavy, like a telescope or a crane, very carefully and slowly so you don't break it. It's like when you are carrying a glass of water and you want to walk very slowly so you don't spill any water.

When you are slewing something like a telescope, you have to be very careful because if you move it too fast, you could break it or make the picture you're trying to see through it all blurry. Slewing is kind of like a slow dance, where you are leading the telescope or crane to move in the way you want it to go.

So, to sum it up, slewing is when you move something very big and heavy very carefully and slowly so you don't break it.
