Slivovitz is a type of drink that comes from the fruit of a special tree called a plum tree. The drink is very famous in some places in the world, especially in parts of Europe.
To make slivovitz, people start by picking the plums from the tree. Then, they take out the stones from the middle of the fruit, and put the plums in a big pot with water. They heat the pot up slowly over a fire, so that the water gets hot but not too hot.
When the plums are soft and squishy, people take them out of the pot using a big spoon, and put them into another container. Then, they take a special tool called a press, and squeeze all the juice out of the cooked plums. This juice is the main ingredient for slivovitz.
Next, people put the juice into a special container called a still. A still is like a big pot with a tube coming out of it. When the juice inside the still gets hot, it starts to turn into gas and comes out of the tube. People catch this gas, and when it cools down again, it turns back into liquid. This liquid is slivovitz.
Finally, people put the slivovitz into bottles, where they store it until they want to drink it. When people drink slivovitz, it usually makes them feel warm and happy inside. But it is important for people to drink it responsibly, and not too much at one time.
