Slovaks of Croatia
Okay, little one, so there are these people called Slovaks who live in a country called Slovakia, and they have some relatives who live in a different country called Croatia. So, these Slovaks who live in Croatia are basically the same kind of people as the Slovaks who live in Slovakia, but they just live in a different place.
Now, a long time ago, quite a few Slovaks moved to Croatia and settled there. They made homes, had families, and started living their lives just like the Croatians who already lived there. Today, even though they are living in Croatia, the Slovaks of Croatia still identify as Slovaks and are proud of their heritage. But at the same time, they also feel a strong connection to Croatia, where they were born and grew up, and they consider themselves to be both Slovak and Croatian.
