Slovenes

Slovenes are people who come from Slovenia. Slovenia is a country in Europe that's a lot like the United States in some ways. They have a flag, a language, and even their own money!

Just like how some people in the United States come from different states like Texas or New York, people in Slovenia come from different regions called Carniola, Styria, and others.

But even though Slovenes come from different regions, they all share similar things like their love for music, dancing, and festivals. They also enjoy eating delicious food, like mushroom soup and special sausages called kranjska klobasa.

Overall, Slovenes are just like you and me--they live in a country, have their own culture, and enjoy different activities!
