Slum

A slum is a very crowded, poor, and unhealthy place where a lot of people live. Most people in a slum don't have enough money for a nice house, or enough food, or enough clothes. People in slums often have to live in small, dark rooms that don't have any windows and don't have very good air to breathe. Toilets and bathrooms are also usually very limited in a slum, so people often have to share a bathroom or go to the bathroom outside in a place that isn't very clean. Because of all this, people in slums often don't have very good health, and children often don't go to school.
