Smart tags (Microsoft)

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen a sticker that has a code or picture on it that you can scan with your phone? That's kinda what smart tags are. But instead of using your phone, you can use a special program on your computer to interact with them.

Smart tags are basically little computer messages that are hidden inside a document or a webpage. When you click on a word or a picture that has a smart tag, it opens up a little menu that can help you do stuff. For example, if you click on a word that has a smart tag, it might give you the definition of that word or show you related websites.

Microsoft is a big company that makes a lot of computer programs (like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and they have their own smart tags that you can use in those programs. Basically, they make it easier for you to do things like search the internet, translate text, or find information without having to leave the program you're using.

So, smart tags are just little helpers that make it easier to get things done on your computer. Cool, huh?
