Smena (camera)

A smena camera is like a special box that takes pictures. It has a lens in the front, which is like the camera's eye. You look through a little hole on top of the camera to see what you want to take a picture of.

To take a picture, you need to put something called film inside the camera. Film is like a thin strip that has special chemicals on it. When you take a picture, the camera captures the image on the film with its lens.

Once you have finished taking pictures, you need to take out the film from the camera. Then, you take the film to a special store where they know how to develop it. Developing means they put the film inside a machine with more chemicals, and the image on the film comes to life.

After the film is developed, you get to see all the pictures you took. They come out as real photographs that you can hold and touch. It's like magic!

Smena cameras are special because they are not like the cameras we have on our phones today. They do not show you the picture right away, and you have to wait till the film is developed to see your photos.
