A snowbird is a special type of person who likes to travel between two different places depending on the season. Some people live in very cold climates in the winter, where there is lots of snow and ice. This can make it hard to do things they like, such as going outside to play or ride bikes. So in the winter, they travel to warm places like Florida, Arizona, or Hawaii. These places are sunny and have very warm weather, which is much more comfortable for these snowbirds.
But when summer comes, these snowbirds pack up their things and move back to their colder homes again. Some snowbirds do this every year, and they have two different places they call home. It's like being a bird that flies south for the winter and north for the summer, just like a real snowbird!
