Sob sister (journalism)

Okay kiddo, so you know how when someone feels sad or something bad happens to them, we usually try to make them feel better? Well, a sob sister in journalism is someone who writes stories that make people feel sad so they will want to read the story and maybe even cry.

They use words and phrases that make you feel sad or emotional. They write about things like tragedies, deaths, or sad events in hopes that it will make you feel something.

But some people think that this kind of journalism is not fair because it uses people's emotions to make money and get attention. So it's kinda like when we don't like someone using our emotions for their own benefit, and we call them a sob sister in journalism.
