Social Determinism is a way of thinking about why people do and think things. It suggests that our environment (such as family and friends, the area we live in, and our culture) play an important role in determining who we are and how we act and think. For example, if you live in a wealthy area and all the people in your neighborhood are wealthy, you are likely to think and act in ways that the people around you do, such as wearing nice clothes and buying expensive things. On the other hand, if you live in an area with a lot of crime and poverty, you may think and act very differently, such as hanging out with different people and spending your time more carefully.
