Social epidemiology

Social epidemiology is the study of how social factors like where we live, where we go to school, and how much money we have can affect our health. Scientists use epidemiology to figure out why some people get sick more often than others and what can be done to help them. They look at things like how housing conditions, or the air quality in different neighborhoods, can lead to health problems for people who live there. They also look at how economic and social disparities can put some people at higher risk for health problems.
