ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Socio-economic development (Baháʼí)

Socio-economic development refers to making things better for everybody in society. It means helping people have more money, better health, and education. The Baháʼí faith thinks this is important because when people are happy and healthy, they can do good things for themselves, their families, and their communities.

To make things better, Baháʼísts believe that people should work together. They think that by working together, people can share their ideas and resources to make the world a better place. For example, people can build schools and hospitals, create jobs, and share knowledge about how to do things.

The Baháʼí faith also believes that everyone should have equal opportunities to succeed. This means that people should not be judged by their race, religion, or social status, but by their abilities and efforts. When everyone has equal opportunities, they can all contribute to the development of society in their own way.

Socio-economic development is a big goal, but Baháʼísts think that it can be achieved if people work together with love and unity. They believe that everyone has a role to play in making the world a better place, and it starts with helping those around us.
