Sociology of education

Sociology of education is a field of study that looks at how going to school affects people's lives. It looks at how the school and educational system helps shape the way people think, behave, and interact in different parts of the world. Sociologists who study education ask questions like, why do some people have access to good schools and others don't? What does education teach us? How does the way school is set up affect how students learn? By looking at these and other questions, sociologists are able to understand how education shapes people's lives.
