Soil-transmitted helminth

Hey kiddo, have you ever heard of soil-transmitted helminths? They are like tiny worms that can live in the soil and make people sick.

You see, soil-transmitted helminths are parasites that can get into our bodies when we come into contact with contaminated soil. This can happen when we walk barefoot in the dirt or even when we eat food that has been grown in soil that is contaminated with these worms.

Once these worms are inside our bodies, they can cause a lot of problems. They can make us feel tired and weak, and they can also cause stomach pain, diarrhea, and even malnutrition (which means our bodies don't get the nutrients they need to grow and stay healthy).

So, it's really important to make sure that we always wear shoes when we're outside in the dirt, and to wash our hands and food carefully before we eat it. This way, we can help prevent these little worms from making us sick.
